Amber Vittoria X Jason Naylor Yesterday I had the absolute joy of having @amber_vittoria to my studio to explore and create together. If you don’t know Amber, she is a super talented and thoughtful artist with a unique outlook on life and an unforgettable point of view on society’s views on women / women’s figures etc. Her body of work is based on this theme and her style is so quirky and iconic. She uses shapes and colors to depict female figures and I encourage you to go learn more about her! Meanwhile, I had the honor of spending the afternoon making some art with her, and I’m excited to tell you a little bit about our day. We sat down together and talked about where our strengths could overlap and agreed that using words and messages as the figures of the women would satisfy that crossover beautifully. We wrote a few phrases that were both quirky and uplifting, as we wanted some personality, but also some positivity. Then we stenciled and painted the words onto 18x24 sheets of paper, and Amber added her signature doodled hands, feet and faces on to the “typo bodies” we made.
