Today is World Mental Health day. You know, it’s great that we set aside specific days to celebrate or commemorate things that are important, dates, topics, events. And full transparency, I forgot that today was “the day.” BUT… shouldn’t every day be World Mental Health Day? Or in other words, shouldn’t we be able to prioritize our Mental Health any time it needs attention? I’ll take this one step further… isn’t it just health? What if there was a World Health Day? The point I’m making is that we can normalize this conversation more than we have. It’s just health. And everyone – EVERYONE, YES YOU, deserves to feel ok, to feel good, to feel accepted, to feel loved, just as much as they deserve to get up every morning feeling awake, alive, able to do the things they want to do, and go about their lives. This is not always the case. Not everyone feels great always. I mean, no one does LOL, not ALWAYS. But if you are not feeling good today, or feeling alone, please let me use this mural that I painted as a reminder. You really are NOT alone. And I will put my money where my mouth is. If you are actually feeling alone today, DM me. I WILL RESPOND… and I hope you all know that you are special, worthy, and amazing. Seriously the human being is the most remarkable, inexplicable spectacle in the entire universe, and YOU are a human! You are REMARKABLE! You are loved. And you most certainly are NOT alone. —— Mural painted in collaboration with @youarenotalonemurals and @dirtybandits
