I love this quote by John Ruskin. Obviously it speaks to me but the first time I read it - a few years ago I got chills. It made me feel so validated- like there is a perfect little spot carved out for me in the world. Now I know my place in the world a little bit more and I understand my mission here. I also know that the sensitive and emotional qualities that I have are just that- qualities. I didn’t always feel that way... One of the things I love most about color is that to me, it represents individuality. I have always felt like I am a little different than everyone else, but to be honest, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t feel that way. We are all unique individuals and we are all special - and using lots of color makes me feel like we all are somehow represented... like we are all welcomed... like we are all part of the club.
