Give me your hand, and I’ll give you the world… Finished mural for the #JERSEYCITYMURALFESTIVAL! This piece is titled TOGETHER, and my concept here is the idea that when we put our hands together, we can accomplish anything, whether its something as simple as making each other smile, or as epic as changing the universe. The hands are divided up into colors and patterns to show the diversity among us – no two hands look alike, and no two people are the same, but we all share some common characteristics. Those hands could be yours, mine, anyone’s. They could belong to a child in India or a mother in Mexico. What matters is that we reach out to each other, come together, and join forces. And when we do, anything is possible. I deliberately chose not to use any words in this piece, which is a huge departure for me, and I am extremely pleased with the result. I am so proud of this piece not only for the colors and design and the actual paint job, but for the idea that we can grow together. I love doing things that make a difference in peoples lives and I know this mural will do just that. (Thank you to all of you who have already told me so - I truly appreciate you!) I am so honored to have been invited by the family at @manapublicarts and @jcmap to participate in this event, I felt so humbled to be painting among some the best talents in the world, this was seriously so special for me. Not to mention that my mural is right across the street from @obeygiant. SO thank you Catherine, Ana, Brooke and all of you who brought this to life. What an amazing week! Special thanks to my assistant @jessie.salinas who hustled all week on this wall with me to bring this to life. This wall is located on the corner of 13th and Monmouth, in Jersey City NJ and it was painted with lots of LOVE and @montanacans 🌟. THANKS guys for the paint!!! 🌈🙌💥🙏 —— @catherinesippin.art @ana__cecilia____ @manacontemporary @montanacans_usa
