Isn’t it amazing that in a way, we ask this question, publicly, to strangers on the internet DAILY? We spend time curating snippets of our lives and tailoring them to look like we don’t care, or like we are too busy to notice, but really we are just asking to BE noticed, accepted, cherished, and loved. • “Follow me” is really a plea, for the love and attention we crave so deeply, and we don’t know how to get it anymore. So we make more content and post more pics, hoping that our hearts will get filled up with the love we think we will feel, if only more people follow us. • And we all do it. I do it too. And it’s amazing! But it’s not always the fulfillment we need. Likes and follows don’t bring peace and contentment. They bring thirst for more... desperation for the heart to fill up faster. Followers are not often true friends that can lift u up or make you cry tears of joy. Followers don’t feel your loneliness or smile just because you did... • So yes, follow me, and keep asking people to follow you, but remember that REAL LOVE is obtained not by asking for it, but by GIVING IT. 💙💜💖🖤 Art by Jason Naylor
