“How do you go about getting mural walls / jobs?” People often ask... And the secret (sometimes) is photoshop. You find the wall and find out who is responsible for it. And then you get your sketch and a photo of the wall, and learn how to photoshop your drawing onto the photo of the wall. This could be done in Procreate as well, but the point is, you show a rendering of what the finished product will look like. This way it’s easier to convince the client or the decision maker that it’s gonna look great and be worth the $$$! This rendering is for a mall in Salt Lake City, and unfortunately, at the same time I was making this, another artist also rendered an idea with portraits of Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon, and the client decided to hire that artist. And their mural is spectacular! So like I said, sometimes, this doesn’t get you hired, sometimes it does, but now I can take this rendering and use it elsewhere :) Art by Jason Naylor
